Internal busy tone

    I have a customer that doesn't want VM and just wants a busy tone return for internal calls. I have unchecked the box for VM but in the forwarding rules I'm unsure what option to pick for busy calls. If i pick forward to VM and the user has no VM box what happens? There seems to be no other option for just returning busy tone.

    Hi,

    Then you get an error announcement.

    Of course is there an option for it.
    This is how I do it…
    First create a dummy DR, give it a name and add a busy tone file (.WAV), set Timeout = “0” and Repeat Prompt.
    This will force the DR into an endless loop.
    Then go to the users extension and instead of selecting “Send calls to my voice mail” select “Send call to” with the dummy DR.

    If the user is now on a call and someone else call him, that person will hear a busy tone.
