IP Phones IP Address

    If the IP Phone has a DHCP IP address lease that can change over time - does this become an issue when the IP Address changes. Should IP Phones have static addresses

    As has been mentioned previously, a set will re-register with the PBX at least every 30 minutes, so, even if the IP changed, the PBX would know where to reach the set, so lease time is totally irrelevant.. A static IP can be assigned, but is only necessary if YOU need to know what the sets IP is.
