    Hi Guys

I have a Sip trunk that authenticates via IP address, I believe i have set this up correct in 3CX but when i try and make a outgoing call i get server failuire

Below is what i have been sent from my provider

    Inbound numbers : 0288297xxxx
    Number of Channel(s) : 2
    Customer IP address : 77.xxx.xxx.xx
    SIP trunk name : TRUNK_OVCEL001_01

Please send all outbound calls to 77.107.128.156. All inbound calls will be received from 77.107.128.156 as well.

There’s no username and password for this SIP Trunk as inbound and outbound calls use the IP address provided to route calls.

Calls will be sent to your switch in E164 number format (e.g. +44).

    Below is the Log file

just a guess, but by any chance, have you entered your public IP address as the VoIP Providers "Sip Host Address"?

if you have, please change this to the VoIP Providers host address.

You dont have an outbound rule set up.

3cx does not know the difference in theory between an internal sip call and external sip call - it just looks up routes. if you dial an internal extension it looks up that extension and sees it is there and routes the call. If you dial an external number it looks up its outbound rules for a matching route.

People think there is a "default" route but there isnt. There has to be an outbound rule set up. You can easily set it up for all calls and it will work. Your logs showed there are no matching outbound rules set up for the number you dialed.
