Figured I'd share my experience with emulating a Key/Centrex system.

I've recently installed 3CX v10 for a client that's coming off of a Centrex/Key system. They're 60+ y/o lawyers and not exactly eager to upgrade to new technology when they old stuff has been working (can't say I blame them). They're a small firm, 2 lawyers, 3 paralegals. Old system: All 4 incoming lines ring everywhere, Paralegal picks up Line 1, sees light for Lawyer A isn't lit so she yells "Lawyer A, it's for you!", Lawyer A picks up Line 1. Paralegal is now ready to pickup second call on line 2.

After 1 week, of grumbling I finally set it up:

Phone already configured with Line 1+2, had to manually setup Line 3+4
All incoming calls go to Ring Group that includes everybody.
Setup 3 buttons for separate Call Park orbits
Setup 3 BLF/Xfer buttons for 2 lawyers and Senior Paralegal
Calls ring to Ring Group for 60 seconds, if no answer it goes to General Office Voicemail.

    Please share your config experiences
