Original question was about free edition. If you use paid edition - it should work. It has been tested many times in different environments and it is working.

Make_call is the ability to make calls using Http. Also known as HTTP API.
You can make a call from your browser using HTTP post request.

    Example:
    open browser and type:
    http://localhost:5481/make_call.php?extnum=222&vmpin=222&to=XXX

Localhost – is the IP or name of the 3CX Phone System server.
extnum – is the extension number of the user placing the call. HTTP post request will authenticate using 222 (vmpin num of extension 222). Ext 222 will ring. You will then hear "Please wait while I forward your call"

Call will be forwarded to Destination XXX which can be an extension or Outbound rule and external location.
You can notice that make_call uses extnum and vmpin. Do not try and use extnum and auth password you set in the extension. Maybe this is why it's not working for you etsik.

Hummmm... interesting! Is it needed to authenticate as admin before using this PHP? Or any user can type it in his browser?

Indeed you need to have the voice mail function turned on for the extension that will be the caller, and you need to use the pin number for that voice mail box when you invoke the make_call.php page.

Any user can type it. No need for admin rights.

-- Yes If VM function is not on, then voicemail pin is not part of the function and cannot be called for authentication. In fact it will be greyed out in the interface.

    Good it's working for you.

    Sorry to jump in here

Just to be clear - users can only trigger calls via this interface for their own extension. To do this, it requires an extension number as well as the extension pin. No admin rights are required, though as a user the only thing you can do is setup a call to your own extension.
