We're trying to implement Click-2-Call functionality from our website using the HTTP API and the MakeCall function. Here's what I'd like to happen:

    1. Visitor on website enters his phone # and clicks Click-2-Call button
    2. 3CX initiates MakeCall() request to internal sales queue and goes looking for a salesperson to take the call
    3. Once the salesperson takes the call then complete the MakeCall request and connect to the site visitor

Unfortunately what is happening is that 3CX is completing both segments of the call simultaneously. It calls the visitor and calls the salesperson in the queue even though there may not yet be any salesperson available.

I want the outbound segment of the call to only go ahead once a salesperson has taken the call. Is this a bug in MakeCall or expected behavior?

The call is made and connected as soon as its triggered, so it assumes the sales person is available to take the call when you trigger it.

Maybe you should implement it differently - just create a script that fires of an email with the phone number as a clickable link. Then when the sales person receives the email, he just clicks on the link in the email to launch the call?
