Messages have pauses

    Intermittently, my 3cx commercial installation (on IBM Thinkpad 43P, with 2GHx processor and about 30 GB free drive) produces halting messages. Choppy, but I think usually complete. (example: "my telephone num........ber is ......").

    How do I troubleshoot this without another computer?

    My first suspect would be the hard drive, possibly the access speed, or it requires a defrag. It may be some other hardware issue (harddrive/motherboard/BIOS) related. Broken audio usually indicated a problem accessing the stored file in a timely manner.

    If you are running Win 7 , run the Windows rating test, see what the results are.

    A while back someone was having the same sort of problem when trying to use a new SSD, which you wouldn't think would cause that sort of issue.
