The minimum 'Maximum Queue Wait Time' is currently 15 seconds. We have a situation whereby we would like to reduce this to 8 seconds but cannot so we have to use a group instead. This means we lose all the extra features of queues such as playing intro prompts.

The 15 second minimum seems a bit arbitrary so we would like to be able to adjust this to any figure that suits our requirement.

I´m unsatisfied with this minimum of 15 seconds too. Is there a way to change this somehow?

Excuse my question, but what does minimum wait time mean?

Maximum wait time is the time, after which e.g. the call is redirected.
But what is minimum wait time for?

    Thank you

Totally agree. On our previous phone system (Aastra) we were able to reduce it to 4 seconds! Much more convenient for smaller teams. Also essential for proper skills based routing.

The "minimum value" means that the system won't let you set the value less than 15s.
They would like to use 8 or 4 for instance.

Shouldn't you be adjusting the "ring time (seconds)" to 5? I fail to understand why you would want the Maximum Queue Wait Time to be under 15 seconds? If nobody is signed into the queue it will follow the "destination if no answer". The Ring Time is the time between people and it will support a 5 second setting.

We'd also like to use a shorter queue maximum wait time, specifically for the often requested "gradually expanding dialing group", where a call progressively hits more and more extensions the longer it isn't picked up (to where the last few seconds of the call it's ringing anyone with a pulse).

There are situations where you might only have 1 or 2 members in a queue. If they are on the phone the incoming calls to the queue will sit there for 15 seconds before moving on to the 'destination if no answer'...! That is why a being able to shorten the 'Maximum Queue Wait Time' is so useful.
