Modifying Inbound CallerID Name

    We are using a Patton SmartNode PRI for all of our inbound and outbound calls. The CallerID is working great, however, we have had a request to be able to modify or append the Caller name for known numbers.

    Example: A vendor may call us but they have their carrier does not pass along their CallerName in the CallerID information. We know their full number so we would like to see if there is a way that we can tell the system, if callerID = xxxx then display the name we would like to display.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I think this will work better in V10 so i wont complicate the v9 details.

    From my understanding the company phonebook is going to be much improved in v10 and so the system should pick it up from there when it comes in.

    Wait a wee while longer and v10 will be out.
