MyPhone & windows 8

    There seems to be a problem with the MyPhone app and Windows 8
    Every time that we start MyPhone it closes by itself after just a few seconds...

    Backup your 3CX system.
    Uninstall it completely.
    Download the latest 3CXPhoneSystem11.exe, containing SP2.
    Install it and restore your backup.
    MyPhone will update automatically, be patient or reinstall it.

    installed the Update...
    Still have the same issue...

    Cannot use MyPhone with windows 8!!!!!!!!

    anyone at 3CX care to reply?

    We have paid for 3CX, but now that we have updated to Windows 8 we can no longer use it.

    At the very least it would be much appreciated to let us know when this is going to be fixed.

    OK.
    I got it working now.
    The solution was that I deleted all "Silverlight" related files and the program itself. then I open MyPhone from a Browser and clicked on install locally. It reinstalled everything and started working again like before Windows 8... So I guess it was a "Silverlight" related problem...

    Hope this can help others...

    We rejoiced too fast...
    after one external call, it still does the same thing... it closes after just a few seconds... cannot use MyPhone!!!
    Back to square one...
    Need help, please!

    If you have a support contract with 3CX, issue a ticket.
    No other idea, I'm also experiencing some problems with 2012 / 8.

    Hi,

    In order to help you we need some MyPhone logs. Open your 3CX Phone System Management cosole, go to Settings->Advanced -> Custom Parameters. Search for MYPHONECLIENTLOGGINGLEVEL and set value to 3. Press Apply/ OK and go to Windows 8 machine and start MyPhone. After MyPhone is closing collect 3CXMyPhone.log from C:\Users\Dan\Documents\3CX MyPhone and post it here. Maybe we can trace the problem.

    Hi,

    Please try the following procedure:
    1. Backup your configuration with backup and restore tool.
    2. Uninstall everything from server. Check if everything is uninstalled including IIS.
    3. Install 3CX Phone System 11 SP2 from the beginning. Do not upgrade. Just fresh install 3CX Phone System 11 with SP2.
    4. Restore your backup and check if everything work.

    If this procedure is not working for you please open a support ticket and we will handle this.

    OK... I did the Back-Up, uninstalled, reinstalled, but cannot reinstall the Back-Up... it says "This is an unsupported backup. Please contact support"....
    Restore failed...Error: EOF in header
    now I'm completely fu....
    what can I do now...
    The Back-Up file is there it exist it is 1.72 Gb.... Even if I try to unzipp it or open it in windows it says that the folder is empty...

    Just finished reprograming everything in the system!!!!
    it now seems to be working with the W8 machine...
    Will test further tomorrow and post back...
