    Hello,

    I have the following issue:

Usually, when a call comes in, an incoming rule is directing the call to a queue.
When the call is recorded, the name of the incoming rule is set to the file name of the record.

    But,
when there is a SIP trunk with only main number, the incoming rule is working, but the name of it is not placed to the recording file name.

Even when I add a several DID e.g.
    Main Number: 12345678
    DID: *2345678

or changing the Main Number to anything else.

The incoming rule for this DID is not working. It will always perform the action for the main number, which does not include the name of the incoming rule to the file name of a record.

Is there any fix or workaround to get the name of the incoming rule to the file name of the record?

    Kind regards
    KarstenW

    Hello @KarstenW

When a trunk has only the main number then you will need to create an inbound rule for that number even though there is only one number.
When you create an inbound rule for the main trunk number the unbound rule name should be included in the recording (just tried it on a V15.5 and it works). If the inbound rule name is not included then perhaps the number coming in from the provider does not match the inbound rule and the catch all functionality is used and the call is routed to the main trunk number.
If the number matches an inbound rule you should also see the name of the inbound rule displayed on the screen of the phone that is ringing as long as you have the option prepend name enabled under contacts / options

Wow, that really helped me out here. Thank you very much.

The trunk provider is not sending the main number, it is sending the account name.
After changing this, it is working fine.

    Thanks again.
