Nexvortex Today

    Anyone in the North East region having issues with Nexvortex today? All outbound calls are ok however when someone dials in we can hear them but they cannot hear us. Our firewalll checker and STUN has passed all tests.

    Hello,

    The partial outage the morning of Monday 26-Mar-2012 was experienced only by nexVortex endusers with DIDs serviced by Level3, was almost exclusively in New Hampshire, and affected only inbound service to these DIDs. Level3 has provided the following information regarding this outage:

    The Voice NOC investigated customers experiencing one-way audio issues out of McLean, VA. The off-net IP peering partner determined there was a routing configuration issue to reach the Level 3 network, which was corrected by the peering agent to restore services.

    Corrective Actions: Level 3 IP and Voice Operations Engineering and Senior Management met with the IP peering partner and have requested an RFO and details on the corrective actions and preventive measures


    nexVortex believes that the off-net IP peering partner referred to by Level3 is Comcast, however, we have not had an official confirmation that this is the case. We believe this information will be released in the official RFO(s) that we have yet to receive.
