No busy tone when calling outside

    Hello,

    when I call an outside busy number, I do not get a busy tone. There is just silence and the call does not end. the counter is counting seconds...
    it happens on both: softphone and deskphone

    V15.0

    Any ideas?

    I know in the past (may have changed with latest versions), the default, when reaching a busy outside number, was to get a 3CX recording. To get a busy tone instead required a change in a parameter called BUSYPROMPT. Not certain if this has change or why you are not getting either. There is obviously a receipt of s SIP 486.

    Well, it is not only the tone....
    The call stays active. A busy line should make the call end.
    The log shows that 3CX notices thet it is busy, but it does not end the call or play anything.

    This problem is really weird. Different Extensions have different results.

    When I call my own mobile phone with my 3cx softphone I get a busy tone and the call ends.
    When I call my mobile phone with the 3cx softphone of my collegue, I get silence and the call soes not end.

    I have saved both logs. Could a 3cx staff meber please have a lookm at them and tell me what the difference is?

    The tones are generated in the terminating device, in the case of non-analogue gateway type trunks. Which means that not only must he SIP message get through to the device, the device must interpret in correctly. There may be something in the PC (firewall?) that is preventing some messages from passing through.
