No external ring tone on Sipgate

    Hi,

    I have vonage and sipgate accounts, plus a single SPA300 POTS line. 3CX version is 5.0.3790.0 running on Windows 2003

    Callers on the sipgate line hear no ringtone. My phones ring internally however, and the caller ID is correctly received.

    Log shows nothing wrong:

    How can I get a ring tone for external callers?

    I you pick-up the call at the office, can the other party (from Sipgate) hear you?

    Yes, everything is fine apart from the lack of ring tone.

    Andy,

    It is not related to Sipgate,
    Subject should be:
    3CX PBX doesn't show ringing state of my SPA NNNN
    Answer will be: "please upgrade your version to 5.1 beta or 5.1 RC"
    You will see ringing state of your SPA device on Line Status page and SIPGATE will "rings", because SPA alternative is supported in version specified above.

    Hi Stephan,

    That doesn't make any sense. My copy of 3cx connects directly to Sipgate, not via the SPA 300 - I've got an analog line on that.
    I'm happy to upgrade, but how can the SPA affect the direct digital connection to Sipgate?
