I have really been hitting my head against the wall on this one. I simply can not figure out what may be causing this issue.

Symptoms:

We installed a new router the other day. Calls were tested AFTER the installation and confirmed to work. There were no apparant issues.

This morning, any kind of call (outgoing or incoming) did not have any sort of inbound audio. Could not even hear the ringing tone. However, the calls -are- placed and people can pick them up.
Extension to extension calls give a busy signal and don't place at all.
There is the possibility that a call that comes into the system but is then forwarded to a CELL PHONE -does- have inbound audio. (What?)

I have attempted DMZing the router and painstakingly re-forwarding the ports to no avail. Even if this is the issue, I don't understand why it would be blocking the extension-to-extension calls. I rebooted the phones, the services, and the server.

I really don't know where else to go on this issue and I don't what's going on with all the Park Orb/Conf messages in the following log, but I suspect they may be related.

Posting here in the in the hopes someone may have an inkling as to what's going on.

Following is a server activity log immediately following an attempted ext-to-ext call, from the time the server was rebooted:

Since all of the problems began after you replaced the router, it's assumed that the new router is the issue. What make/modelis it, there may be some features that require being disabled.

This part looks to be a clue as to the problem..

Out of curiosity, does the 3CX Firewall Checker pass?

Yes, the Firewall Checker did pass.

We changed ISPs recently as well so I am investigating that as a potential problem. I will update with information if that corrects the problem.

THis may or may not be relevant: While I was out, half of the 3CX services (including the main Phone System service) simply stopped. I restarted them, but I could not find a cause. There was nothing in Event Viewer.

Updating this.

This was self-resolved after restarting the services three separate times.

Would be really useful to know what type of router you are seeing this issue with please (helps us all experience-wise ...) ...

I have seen this type of thing happen with Draytek routers, where long registration periods (hours or days) are set on the SIP Trunk groups ... Unless there is constant call traffic, the firewall can lose port mapping and block incoming traffic (happens especially overnight outside of business hours). We got round that by setting very short registration periods (3 to 5 min's), and that kept the firewall open for incoming calls. SPI Firewalls rely on outgoing traffic identifying the validity of returning packets ... This means that if you get incoming packets (i.e. an incoming SIP request for a call), and you've had nothing requesting data from that source for a long while - the request can be blocked ...

have fun ...

The type of router we had there was an ASIS router. I'm not entirely clear on the model.

What really kind of frustrated me about the whole incident was I spent the majority of the day troubleshooting, assuming it had to be a network issue (I had restarted the services twice). I took a break and came back to find half the services had essentially died (without any sort of error in Event Viewer or cause). When I restarted them the third time, the system came back up normally.
