I have a 3CX server running at the office (not at location of phones).

I have connected 4 phones and 2 mobiles fine, show up and linked established etc.

They are in ring groups and linked with a sipgate account.. all ring and can answer no problem.

I cant seem to make internal calls (eg. 100, 101 or voicemail etc) or to external numbers.

I have tried looking through out the config and just cant find what I need to set.

When a call is going to be made internal or external via phone (All are Cisco IP Phone 7940 Series) it goes to make the call but a message of 'reorder' appears and hangs up.

Any ideas?

I can call the the sip number and all phones can ring and answer on all devices

First, check the 3CX log, just after attempting a call. Does it show up? If so is should show why it is failing. If you aren't sure what you are dealing with then post the log here.

If you don't see any sign of a call attempt in the logs , then it may be a setting in the phone.

It may very well be be something in the internal dialplan, in the set, that is preventing the dialled digits from even being sent.

ive masked my mobile number and hostname of the server..

You are using a URL (getmyip.com) rather than an IP to send the call to 3CX. You need to be sure that you have that URL datafilled in 3CX as your Domain Name or any call attempts will be rejected.

Don't mean to jack the thread but I'm having the same issue. Here is my log:

Hijack away lol

Is there a way to allow hostnames or execptions ?

Internal phones / mobiles can make and recieve calls internal and external.

External phones cant due to hostname .getmyip.com.. it is set in the public IP setting..

If you don't have a static IP at the 3CX end, one that you put into the "remote" set as the server address, then you probably use a Dynamic DNS service. If you do have a static IP you may prefer to use a Domain name, that you choose for your business rather than the IP.

If, in the remote set, you use a URL as the 3CX server address, you need to put that into 3CX as the Domain Name, in the Advanced settings.

Found out it was ip problem.. i used the ip address rather than dynamic address when connecting and it was all ok.
