    Hello,

    When calling someone via voip, the phone rings, but no communication is possible (no sound is heard on neither side)

    Copy of the log:
    21:34:59.346 StratLink::eek:nHangUp Call(C:4): got Hang-Up from Ext.152; reason: BYE
    21:34:46.659 CallLegImpl::eek:nConnected Established media channel for Ln:10001@VoipUser.org: remote=213.166.5.133:18760; local=192.168.100.15:5006
    21:34:46.643 StratInOut::eek:nConnected Call from Ext.152 to Ln:10001@VoipUser.org is established
    21:34:46.643 CallLegImpl::eek:nConnected Established media channel for Ext.152: remote=192.168.100.15:5006; local=213.166.5.133:18760
    21:34:26.957 CallConf::eek:nIncoming Incoming call from Ext.152 to sip:1003232958817@192.168.100.154

    What ports do I exactly need to open? I thought UDP 5060, UDP 3478, UDP 9000-9007 was enough...

    Any help is appreciated.

    Tom,

    Your RTC ports need to be open. These are UDP 10000 - 20000 in general. You can limite this to the ones you use I guess. Looks like you are using 18760.

    I suggest you open the whole range 10000 - 20000.

    If you do a search on the forum you will find more info on this.

    They are open for the 3cx system. But I found out that they need to be open for the phone also. (which I find very strange, isn't all communication handled by the 3cx system??)
    I've advanced a little bit further: I opened the ports UDP 10000-65500 for send-receive for all my internal clients. Now I'm able to call someone, they can hear me, but I cannot hear them.
    I've also created a listener for UDP ports 5060, 3478 and ports 9000-9007, but still no incoming sound...

    The 3cx is behind an ISA2006 Firewall and for corporate security, I need as less ports open as possible...

    Hi Tom,

    You sohuld bound your VoIP provider to Media Server, and allow mapping of ports range 9000-9004 to your 3CX server. After that you will have incoming and outgoing sound. From the logs you've provided I see that 3CX attempts to make direct RTP connection to VoIP. It means that your VoIP is not bound to MS. To bind it you should open 'Edit VoIP provider' page and set checkmark in 'Bind device to Media Server'
