Hi All,

We recently moved our 3cx system out of the office. Everything is working fine except we can only register one phone at a time in the office.

We assume this is because we are behind a router here at the office with a single IP and there are port issues...

Can someone explain (in general or specific terms) what we need to do?? We have 2 Polycom soundpoint phones and a grandstream. thanks!!

Hello,
remote connection issues solvs normaly with port forward and stun server

If you have two devices (phones) at a remote location and are NOT using a router, each phone has a public IP address then there should be no issue, you can use the same port number on each device. If, however, you are using a router, then each phone will have to have a unique private IP (preferably a FIXED IP, don't use DHCP)and a unique port number. The first set=5060, second =5061, etc. This allows you to forward those ports in the router to the IP's of those phones. So, for example, if you set one phone to a fixed IP of 192.168.1.201 port 5060 and the second set to 192.168.1.202 port 5061 you would forward those ports to the corresponding IP address in the table in the router. You woulds also want use the STUN server settings on each set. When the sets registered with the 3CX this would then give the PBX their public IP AND which port they are using so that messages can get through to them.
