    Hi,

Just upgraded to v10 at the weekend after waiting for SP2 to come out.

On the last 2 mornings when people arrive in the office the phones are not working - no incoming or outgoing calls.
When someone calls into the office and it goes to the ring group, the phones ring and the phones display "some message with the word vioptalk in it" (as described to me and is our provider) but nothing is heard when the call is picked up.

I have told them to reboot the server and once this is done everything works fine for the rest of the day?

Thinking it might be something to do with Abyss 'recycling' itself at 4am??
We were on v9 and had no problems before - straight forward backup & restore to v10.

I'll run wireshark overnight tonight but just wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

Abyss restarting should only affect MyPhone from an end user perspective, it should have no bearing on the state of the phones or the sip trunk. Can't tell you what the problem is, but I don't think its because of Abyss.

i dont understand how you can not get incoming and not make outgoing calls but yet when you call the hunt group from outside it rings the group. I would recommend checking the power settings on the nic and the pc as well as uninstalling via the 3cx uninstaller checklist/app and reinstalling.

Looking at bit more at this problem I don't think it is Abyss - it seems to be when the phone system is out of hours and the answerphone is on or when it is inactive for a few hours?

When calling Out of Hours and being transferred to Answerphone I get a lot of jitter on the message - so bad that you can hardly make sense of the message. Messages that are emailed seem to be silent and looking at the log shows these messages below. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. Nothing else in the network has changed and only an upgrade from V9 which has been flawless for about a year? System is running on Win 2003 R2 32bit Standard with no firewall.

During the working day today the call quality has been great with no problems? It only seems to be causing issues when the answerphone is on afterhours or just after it switches off in the morning?

    Any suggestions?
