    Hi,

For those of you situated in Australia wanting to implement a Primary Rate Patton ISDN Gateway in your environment, it may be useful to know that the default template generated by 3CX only provides a config with a single inbound ring tone cadence (possibly an American or European format).

This can be easily changed to give your external callers dialling in a standard Australian ring tone. The safest method is to export your current working configuration, editing this file then re-importing it, followed by a reboot - this ensures that you don't lose any additional customisation work that you may have done if it is an established system, otherwise simply update the wizard-generated config file prior to importing if you are building a new system.

Simply replace the tone set lines with the following:

    profile ppp default

    profile call-progress-tone defaultDialtone
    play 1 1200 400 -13 440 -13

    profile call-progress-tone defaultAlertingtone
    play 1 400 400 -13 440 -13
    pause 2 200
    play 3 400 400 -13 440 -13
    pause 4 2000

    profile call-progress-tone defaultBusytone
    play 1 400 425 -10
    pause 2 400

    profile call-progress-tone defaultReleasetone
    play 1 200 425 -10
    pause 2 200

    profile call-progress-tone defaultWaitingtone
    play 1 200 425 -10
    pause 2 200
    play 3 200 425 -10
    pause 4 4400

    profile tone-set default

This process works and has been confirmed on several systems now. I would imagine that if changes are required for other countries that Patton support would be able to assist with the appropriate tone sets.

I hope this helps you out if you come across this issue in the future.
