Many of the larger companies that I install to have different vlans in different sites and their Patton PRI Gateways are not always on the same subnet as the phone system. If one is configured with a default gateway and then a config is uploaded the gateway settings within the device get's removed. It would be nice to add default gateway and dns options in the interface as to allow systems that use FQDN and are on different subnets a more complete upload for the network side of things. This way after you configure you don't have to use the console to logon to add the gateway or be on the same subnet as the device. This would also help with remote deployments where you ship the device and the client gives you an IP address and other info after the fact.
