    Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me out.

Purchased a Patton SN4112 FXS unit.

It has 2 FXS ports and 1 Eth Port.

First thing i did was connect the unit to my LAN, located it via the Dsicovery Tool downloaded and applied the latest firmware..That went perfect.

Next i logged into the 3CX Console, went to VOIP/PTSN Gateways,

Selected Add Gateway, SN4112 FXS etc etc

I set the Host/Gateway IP to 192.168.0.93 as this is the IP address i would like the Gateway to use. Selected the 2 extensionsi would like the unit to control and downloaded the config file.

Logged back into the SmartNode, imported the config file, Reloaded. The unit received the new IP of 192.168.0.93 and thats where it goes downhill. The VOIP Link light on the front flashes and the unit never registers in either the "Phones" Tab or the Gateway tab. The 2 extensions are also Unregsitered.

Below is the config file, can anyone see any problems? Cheers for any help

    Hi there,
Can you check under Settings / Security / IP Blacklist / that the gateway is not blocked ? If it is just remove it from the list and apply.
Furthermore, ensure that you are running latest Smartware firmware available from Patton website for this model prior to configuring it.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I can confirm the Gateway IP is not blocked. I even have an ALLOW rule for all traffic from 191.168.0.1-192.168.0.99

I did however check because I know Block Rules take priority over allow rules.

I downloaded and applied the latest firmware from the Patton website before configuration, still no luck.

As a further bit of information, if I lift the receiver on one of the two analogue handsets there is a dial tone but if I dial a number nothing happens. I'm guessing this must be the SmartNode providing a dial tone as opposed to the 3CX System.

You say that the device has two FXS ports, but no FXO ports? If it is just two FXS, then it is two extensions, and the config file you posted does not show any signs of extension numbers, or other specific settings that one would normally associate with an extension, just "general" configuration information.

So..there is either more to the config file, or there is an additional file that contains this information.

I assume that when checking the 3CX Server log, that there is no sign of a registration attempt.

Dialtone will always come from a VoIP phone, or ATA, not from the PBX itself.

    Did you follow this?

    Hi Leejor,

Sorry I copied what I thought was the config file out of one of the screens on the SmartNode GUI,

I completely overlooked that but I do know that when I was hunting around troubleshooting in the file that downloaded from my 3CX system the username and password etc were in there (I'm currently out of the office so I can't paste the file but I will do as soon as I get back)

There are no registration attempts in the logs

Yes, that is the exact guide I followed
