I'm having a problem with my Snom 320s. When ever I add a new extension, the phone book entries on existing phones get messed up. Has anyone else seen this?

I've checked the "snom_phonebook.xml" file on the server, and it has the correct information. Here are the contents...
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tbook>
  <item context="active" type="colleagues" index="1">
    <name>Augusta 101</name>
    <number>301</number>
    <search />
  </item>
  <item context="active" type="colleagues" index="2">
    <name>Augusta 102</name>

Here is a copy of my phone's directory about 24hours after adding the new extension which is Michael Ziegler, 226.

Here it is after resetting my phone back to factory defaults. (this is the correct version)

Code:
"Augusta 101","301","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""
"Augusta 102","302","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""
"Boyle Corey","221","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""

"Tatro Fred","216","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""
"Ward Randy","219","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""
"Ziegler Michael","226","","","","","","","","","","colleague","false","","",""

You'll notice that several of the names and extensions are not correct in the first version, but are correct after resetting the phone.

Hi,

The entires are passed to the phone by a means of provisioning, you will have to recreate the provisioning file by going into the extensions number and pressing apply and ok, after that re provision your phones and it should show the updated extension numbers.

hello guys,

there is an error in the snom FW in V8 up till 8.4.9.
It is fixed with the FW 8.4.14 or higher.
it is not open for download at the moment for public and i only have it for a snom 360 here.
Plz wait und update it will fix the issue in ur phone at the first reboot!

Hi,

Anyone has any update on this situation ? I have the same problem. Everytime an extension is added, all the address books get messed up on all Snom phones (300.320.370). I have to delete all the directories and reboot the phones.

For now, it's usable because we don't have that many phones. But in a near future, we'll be migrating all our offices to IP phones, and this problem will become HUGE !!!

Thanks

I just installed firmware 8.4.18 on all our snom phones (300,320, 370) and I still have problems with the directory in the phones...

I added a name to an existing extension (it didn't have any name before, so it wasn't showing in the directory) and the directory is mixed up again. Some entries switch names and extension (ex: Person A with extension A now shows as Person A with extension B).

I was really counting on the firwmware update to fix this...

I know it's a Snom issue and not 3CX, but maybe you guys speak to each other...

Thank you

UPDATE:

After some testing, here's what I found out:

Adding a new extension works fine, as long as I fill the name fields.
Adding a name to an existing extension that had no name messes up the directory
Deleting an extension does nothing on the phone, the extension remains in the directory.

Update:

I installed SP2.

Changing the name of an extension does nothing on the phone's directory, even after rebooting it. I have to delete the entry in the phones' directory and reboot the phone, then it shows up correctly

EDIT:

The problem seems to be intermittent:
I removed a letter in an extension's name and the phones replicated the change correctly.
When I re-typed the letter in the extension's name, it didn't came back to the phones...
