Hi!

So finally, is it possible to sort Server Phone Book by Last Name not only at Myphone Interface, but in XML file, that downloaded to phones?

Currently we have a lot for complains from lardge customers, that cannot use Server Phonebook at their phones because of wrong sorting method.

This is a very annoying feature, and some our lardge prospects avoid to puschase the system...

the end idea is that the phone book you need at the moment in V9 to resolve the callerID to make this redundant.
The pbx resolve the Caller IDs to Names and every employee can set it as he like it. You can have the Company Phonebook and an personal one (not all phone support this in terms of provisioning) Also we have seen that the phone books which can be stored in the phone are general speaking to small for a enterprise business. Then Ldap is in use. here comes our idea into play to use the 3CX myPhone to store all contacts with us, and searching in the Myphone is 100 time quicker then in any phone. As u have noticed we have not completed the task for V10 yet (either in SIP or in the MyPhone). We will still send the XML file to your phone just in case, but due to here is only one file for all phone, no one can make there one choices.

For ideas.3cx.com (when you have not opened it already) would be to expose, like the phone provisioning temples, the templates how the phone book will be generated. so you can move the variables around as you wish.
