Phones appear twice in phones list, NEW and provisioned

    Hi there

    I had a strange thing going on here with a V15.5 Server. We updated all phones, Yealink T4xG/T4xS, and a few of them appeared twice (by MAC address) in the phone list. One time as "NEW" and one time as normally provisioned. This stayed like this for a few days before it just disappeared. Is this a known display-bug or what was wrong here? The phones worked perfectly fine, but we were irritated by the "new" phones.

    Hello Patrick,

    Are your phones updated to the latest supported firmware? (Check here: https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/)
    Please note that if the current firmware running on the phones is above the latest 3CX supported, that might be what is causing the issue.

    Yes, the phones are on the very latest firmware and are not flagged as unsupported.

    Are you still facing the issue or are all "New" phones gone from the "Phones" tab?
    If yes, try to delete those entries using the X button on the right side of the row. If the issue persists then i suggest you run a wireshark capture on the PBX and see if multicasts are being sent in the network by any of the phones in question.
    It could be caused by something on the network level, since all the phones you see in that "Phones" tab as "New" are phones that send multicast through the network.

    They disappeared after a few days, but every time we do something similar again, the same thing happens again. All phones are connected via an SBC from the remote offices. When I delete the new phones manually from the list, they don't reappear again.
