Polycom Soundstation 7000 - Firmware Update

    I tried to update the Firmware from the Policom Soundstation from v4.0.7 to v4.0.10 following this howto:

    - I replaced the old 4.0.7 Firmware Files with the new 4.0.10 files in the Provisioning folder of my 3CX Server.
    - After that I selected the Phone I want to update in the 3CX Server Manager under "Phones" and did a "Reprovision"

    After a while the phone is reachable again but the firmware is still 4.0.7.
    Can someone tell me where is the error?

    The first thing to understand is that the upgrade procedure implies that the setup was done as described in the second link you posted and is still that way. If the phones were done manually the upgrade procedure will not work. Same may apply if the template is old or customized, depending on the changes that have been made.

    If everything is as it should, the most effective way I find is to start running Wireshark on the 3CX Server right before pressing the "Reprovision" option, wait for a few minutes and use something like a 'http' filter to see the incoming and outgoing HTTP requests from the 3CX Server, so there you would expect to see the phone requesting some sort of files.
