For months, I've been trying to set up a 3cx PBX (PBX express) rather than just connect to my trunk directly.
However, the audio quality via 3cx is terrible.

Although I've definitely unchecked "PBX delivers audio", it seems like the audio packets are going via 3cx.
If I do a capture on 3cx, I'll see packets between the trunk and the PBX, and again between the PBX and my local IP. Capturing locally obviously shows that I'm only connecting to the PBX.

This may be a really novice question, but am I right in thinking that the audio should not be coming from the 3cx IP?

Self solved - the use tunnel when OOO didn't change on the local soft phone even though I had changed it on the server and re-provisioned the phone.

My understanding, and I may be wrong, is that while sets can communicate directly (depending on your set-up obviously), outside calls to a trunk provider, will always pass through the PBX.
