ports 9000-9040 closed on 3cx - remote phones wont work

    ok, tried getting remote phones working -no avail......used softphone and can only connect via tunnel. Telnet remote AND local to IP 9000 doesn't get a response. On 3cx server if I run netstat, no ports opened past 5000. NOT a firewall issue, 3cx is not opening ports 9000-9049. HELP!!!!

    1) Your firewall has to have the ports opened and forwarded to the 3CX phone system box
    2) The Windows firewall has to have those ports opened

    So yes, one way or another it is most likely a firewall issue.
