We got 3CX 10 small business edition, fully up to date, with 6 PSTN lines. We can do 8 simultaneous calls and use all 6 PSTN lines EXCEPT we cannot have more than 4 simultaneous outbound PSTN calls. The call drops as soon as it dials. I ruled out the 4-call limit for G.729 because that codec is the 4th in priority for all extensions. Any ideas?

The 3CX log should show the reason for the dropped call, you will probably want to review that and post it here if you are not sure about what it is telling you.

It might be something as simple as the trunk group setting for simultaneous calls limit.

You failed to mention the make/model of gateway and if all trunks are in one group of split into smaller ones.

I'd have to repeat Leejor and ask have you checked the log, what was the reason in support log for call to be dropped. bad gateway etc......

May simply be a config to allow max amount of calls to X, what do you currently have that set at in the Gateway or 3cx?
