Whan I call the softphone, it will ring and keeps on ringing even I answered the call. The other party sees that I answered this call and there is no sound transfer.

Pressing the red-phone (on-hook) will stop the ringsignal (but not the call-session for the other party)
The other party is a siemens C455IP.

    Any clue?

Is their Siemens C455IP registered with the 3CX server?
What version of 3CX is the server and what version of the 3CX softphone are you using?

What OS are you using the softphone with?

No the Siemens AND the softphone are NOT registed with a 3CX as they both can be used as an independed SIP-client.

I am running XP on the machine, and the logfile shows

If you use another SIP client like X-Lite can the call connect properly?
What version of the 3CX softphone are you using?

Yes it does. Did not test X-lite but tested a few others.

The most recent one, downloaded from the site. 7.0.4184.0

I Upgraded the version. No change. Problem is still there.

Any other clue? Can I extend logging to track down this issue?

If it works with other SIP clients then it looks as though there is some incompatibility with the 3CX client.
Are the client and the Siemens phone both registered with the same VOIP provider?

Check the codec's that are being used and make sure they are both the same for each end.

    Hi, Knurft

Sorry for delayed reply. Knurft, I cannot say if (and when) we will provide an update for the Voip Client, but definitely we will provide another release of the Voip Phone. Therefore, we try to remove from the Voip Phone as many as possible problems found in Client ver 7/6.

Using the Voip Phone, I was able to simulate - not to reproduce - the issue you reported. So, if you are interested, please try it also, you may install it next to the Voip Client, since they don't conflicts each other: http://www.3cx.com/forums/new-3cx-softphone-beta-with-integrated-tunnel-8562.html

If it has the same issue as you reported here, then I will ask you for further details. The problem you describe seems to be related with another one in V7 which has been fixed in the latest Voip Phone - the "multi echo" problem.

    Thanks
    vali

    Hi, Knurft
This is a good news 8)

As I said on another topic here - this version of the Voip Phone is just a BETA, not the pre-, not the final- release one, and our aim is to make these two better than actual BETA, so... stay tuned 8)

    Cheers

    Hi, Knurft

Knurft, I've done some further investigations regarding the problem you prompted (phone keeps ringing after answering) and the good news is we found a quite serious issue leading to symptoms as you described (issue present in Client v6/v7 and in this BETA). Therefore, if you use the Voip Phone, I (strongly) advise you to update it when next release will be available.

    Thanks for your feedback

    vali
