    Hi,

    Brand new install of 3CX.
    Using Fanvil X4 phones.

    I'm struggling to auto-provision the phones and it seems the issue lies in the fact 3CX won't respond on HTTP port 5000 for the provisioning link

    if I use https://192.0.0.210:5001/provisioning/ID/mac.cfg - I get the CFG file given to me via a browser.
    However...
    if i use http://192.0.0.210:5000/provisioning/ID/mac.cfg - I get 403 forbidden nginx

    This is all done on a local lan.

    it looks like this fresh install of 3CX does not want to work over HTTP on port 5000? What am I doing wrong?

    You can edit the nginx.cfg file pretty easily. Its under C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Bin\nginx\conf

    if you edit the nginx.conf you can modify this area
    listen 5000;
    server_name servername;
    server_tokens off;

    access_log off;
    error_log nul crit;

    allow 192.168.0.0/16;
    allow 172.16.0.0/12;
    allow 10.0.0.0/8;
    allow 127.0.0.1;
    deny all;

    When we were testing it we removed all the allow/deny commands and it worked. you probably should check here that the Lan is listed.

    hope that helps

    That was it - edited nginx.cfg and now all working.
    Thank you.
