Just a quick oh by the way type of question for you. Is there any way to enable the layer 2 QoS (802.1p) tagging in the 3CX system or can this only be done at the network adapter interface? Also, can you tell me why enabling this at the NIC would cause me not to be able to access the 3CX management console or be able to ping the server or ping out from the server, yet the phones worked; could make and receive calls?

    Does your switch support 802.1p?

At the moment tagging only happens ad the IC of the 3CX computer, no specific tagging is set for 3CX.

Not sure if there is tagging for SIP traffic.

On my linksys I takked the port at the router for L2 Priority 6 along with the phones, and my Gateway port. This cured all of may call and audio dropouts in one go.
