Redirect incoming call to RG to mobile

    Hi Guys,

    I'm wondering if there is a simpler way to achieve what a client has requested.

    They are configured with their main number coming into a Ring Group, that overflows into another Ring Group etc.

    They have asked for an easy way to divert that incoming number to mobile phone when out of the office for training. They don't want all other inbound numbers redirected however. This will be an ad-hoc requirement, and ideally they would be able to turn on and off themselves.

    Any ideas on the easiest way to implement such a feature?

    Hi hood,

    There is not an integrated way to do this but there are some other ways. One way is by creating a dummy extension that when you are at the office, it will forward the call at a ring group and when you are not it will forward the call to an outside number (selecting "forward to number" in forwarding rules) simply by setting the "dummy" extension on DnD(Do not Disturb) mode when leaving the office.

    The other way is by replacing the ring group with a Queue and when the employees leave the office they will log out of the Queue, so when there is no-one in the Queue the call will be forwarded to the outside number that you want to (selecting "Forward to Outside Number" in the Destination if no answer field in Queues).
