    if some of you are like I , we have this running n a machine that runs multiple tasks. We have been working with it making changes and sometimes it informs us we need to restart the phone system The problem with this is that because of the other services running on the server, we can not restart it at will. I have tried shutting down all the 3cx services then restarting them, but apparently something does not come back up correctly.

    Recommendation:
    A utility that allows a user to restart the phone system services , WITHOUT restarting the machine

    you could just do the following and use task scheduler to run it.

    Code:
    net stop "3cx phonesystem"
    net start "3cx phonesystem"
    save as a .bat file.

    I do not think that will restart all services will it? The net command is only for Networking. Seems there are many other components to 3cx, aside from networking

    This seems to work for us...

    Try creating a "restart.cmd" file with the following entries then schedule this to be run as often you need it...

    @echo ************************************
    @echo *** Restarting 3CX Phone System **
    @echo ************************************
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem Database Server"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem Digital Receptionist"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem FAX Server"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem Media Server"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem Voicemail Manager"
    NET STOP "3CX PhoneSystem Web Server"
    NET STOP "3CX SIP/RTP Tunneling Proxy"
    # Ping localhost to waist some time
    ping 127.0.0.1
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem Database Server"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem Digital Receptionist"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem FAX Server"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem Media Server"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem Voicemail Manager"
    NET START "3CX PhoneSystem Web Server"
    NET START "3CX SIP/RTP Tunneling Proxy"
    @echo ************************************
    @echo *** 3CX Phone System Restarted **
    @echo ************************************
    pause
    %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s
    exit

    (Calling up the services msc helps confirm that all the services have started successfully)

    Cheers, Brendan

    I tried both of these solutions since posted, and I get the same results. After restarting by the above methods , even a reset of the phone all I get is a reorder tone "SOMETIMES" , but at times it seems to work. I do not think either solution resets completely
