    For a client I implemented a paging group for emergency cases which should call to every deskphone. It would be nice to restrict the ability to call the paging group to certain extensions. Background for this is that we dont want that >400 people could call the paging number back and speak freely to all the extensions in the building.

    I have exactly the same problem. A chance to set permissions to call group numbers would be very useful!

    Yes! 100x yes. Imagine a school situation where kids learn the paging number and find it funny to continually dial it...

    Brian, that workaround assumes the paging device is set as a regular extension. If the paging is set up as a paging ring group then the forwarding rules are ignored.
