Route calls based on US Area Code

    Hello All -

    Is there a way to route calls based on US Area Codes? We have a client who has a tech support dept. and would like to route calls to the right tech support personnel based on US Regions by Area Codes. Is this possible and how do we accomplish this?

    Hello there,

    You can accomplish this with inbound rules. Look at how your calls come in from your provider (the format of the inbound numbers) You can configure specific inbound rules for each region based on the prefixes of the calls coming in. You can then divert these numbers to a call queue or a digital receptionist or even to an outside number.
