    hello

I use Xlite softphones they workt great with 3CX so far.
Only when i recive a seccond call 3CX sends it to voicemail insted of sending it to the second line of the Xlite softphone.
I tryed setting the extension to use the phone status but that didnt fix it.

I can however start a second call and put the recived and dailed call in a conference so i know the two lines are working.

Here is the log of one test where i recive one call and then try dailing the external number as wel.

    Code:

well i thought just to check the workings id try the test with the 3CX softphone and with that one set to use phone status is workt like a charm with all 3 lines (2 external 1 internal).

This proves its in the signaling of Xlite it must ether be sending a bussy status or 3CX is somehow unable to make out its status.

Is there a way i can check the status that a phone sends?
perhaps some one has ran into the same problem and figures out how to make Xlite send its status properly?

Help at this point would be much apriciated since im all out of ideas

    thx

    Hi R.Warps,

there is only one problem, you are asking about busy status of extension but log describes a call to ring group...
Could you please specify exact call scenario and your expectations?

    Thanks
P.S. 3CX Soft Phone and 3CX PBX don't have any "specialized" integration features that can influence call flow. There only one exception: 3CX Soft Phone may be used as reference device for investigation of issues related to interoperability between PBX and third party devices.

Yes the two extensions are in a ring group, incomming calls make both extensions ring.
Incomming calls are sent to the ringgroup which is set to ring all extensions in te group.
This works fine with the 3CX softphone when it has one call it will still ring wen a second or third call comes in. Xlite behaves as if its only capable of reciving a single call at a time. This is most likely deu to 3CX not sending the call to it because to 3CX the phone had no lines left (has bussy status).

3CX softfone does this fine it it wernt for the confrence feature of Xlite and the pone book it has using 3CX would have been an option. The thing is Xlite allows me to recive two calls and then put the recived calls in confrence with just one button. To my knowlige this is not posible with the 3CX softphone. i know 3CX had a confrence room option but its not the kind of confence call we are looking for. our implementation is aimed towards putting two incoming calls into conference with minimum of user handling.

what i intend to achive is that any extension in the ringgroup will be able to see a second call coming in in there second line when there first line is already handling a call.

This is suposed to be used for a small radio station so callers can be put in conference with oneanother whithoud a lot of hassle or requiring them to redail.

this ring group is at the moment only ocupied by one extension and a test phone i wanted to use a ring group so i can ad more phones at a later stage.

    Hi R.Warps,

I am not sure I am following your scenario 100%.

    See if this helps :

In 3CX, on the extensions concerned, you need to set the rule called "Busy Detection Mechanism" from its default of "Use PBX Status" to its other value "Use Phone Status".

If you do this, then subject to XLite being able to accept multiple calls, XLite will receive the 2nd call.

However, in my experience, an extension will not be offered the 2nd call by 3cx if it arrives via a "Ring Group". i.e. for individual calls aimed at an Extension, the above rule will apply. But if the 2nd call arrives via a "Ring Group", then the above rule is ignored and the 2nd call is always tested against the "PBX Status" which of course is not what you want.

Someone else may have a solution to this.

If not, there are some "clunky" work arounds dsicussed here :

    Hope that helps,
