    Hi,

    I just noticed an update (Service Pack 1 for 3CX PBX Version 9) in the web console. it seems I cannot find any information about this update. I checkmarked it but nothing happens.

    Anyone has more info on this ?

    You can only install it from the management application, not via the web interface. Now word what is in it yet.

    To do the update you must be in the Management Console, not the web browser GUI. goto your start menu, programs, 3CX phoen system etc select management console

    Be warned, my first attempt aborted with an error after about 30mins (no PBX during the upgrade), second attempt (no changes to how/why/etc) and it worked. Sent 3CX log files, but stated it ran out of space with 40+gb free on drive !?

    If you have problems with install, suggest you contact support on a ticket and see if they can get remote control to take a closer look.

    Anyway mine is fine now, just need to know what the fixes were or new functionality was ... the change document on the web it points to was not there when I looked!

    I have also updated. And the update ended with an error (something like PhoneUpdate.cs closed unexpectedly. Searching for solution) but it seems to work anyway.

    I know 2 issues that the update should fix according to forums post.

    1. Bug in Log Reporter for Queue Statistics. I have tested it and so far the problem has been corrected but it looks like there is still other problems with the statistics.
    2. You can now check 'Ring mobile simultaneously" in the extension settings. Nice feature, but when I tested it, the call was just disconnected after answering?

    Ring mobile simultaneously "works" for me except I have some issues with it

    1. Doesn't use Rebound
    2. Doesn't forward original caller ID
    3. Generally had a lag of 5-10 seconds before mobile would ring after desk phone started ringing
    4. if cell phone is off or out of signal, call will immediately be answered by cell phone voicemail

    So while this probably helps some people, because of #4, I won't use it.

    Same for me. If would be better to permit to chose if redirect call to voicemail or not when phone cell is off.
    Second option would be to ring Fixed and Cell phone in any case and redirect to voicemail only after X second.

    Okay I also made simultaneous ring working, but only if I call extension directly.

    If I put extension into a queue and call the queue, both mobile and extension is ringing but if I answer on my mobile, then the caller is disconnected? Any who can confirm?

    And I also agree with you that it is not usefull if mobile can not be turned off or out of reach.

    I try to put mobile in a Ring Group and it work without any issue. I'll try with a queue.

    On "Phones" node you can now assign a phone to an existing extension, before you could only create a new extension for a new phone. Glad to see this one added.

    release note will be published soon in the blog. In the meantime here is some information about the service pack and its fixes...

    We have released a service pack for version 9 build 13545. This service pack can be applied to the latest build without re-installing.

    Updating your 3CX Phone System 9 installation

    To update Update 3CX IP PBX version 9.13545 to SP1.

    1.Log in to the 3CX WINFORMS Management console. Note update procedure is only available in the winforms version of the management console because of the privilege needed to update core components.
    2.You will notice that the node 3CX Phone System Updates is highlighted in Red. This means that there is an update available.
    3.Expand the node 3CX Phone System Updates and click on 3CX Service Packs/Updates
    4.You can see the update and click on the Change log link where you will see all the comments and fixes in this update. Select the checkbox and click on Download Selected.
    5.The download of the package will start automatically, The management console will close, and all the components will be updated. Status and progress will be updated on screen. The last message will be Starting Services. After this the windows management console will come up and you can log in with your credentials.

    Important Notification: On some systems, it is possible that the action Starting Services takes between 6-10 minutes. This is a known issue in the previous updater. So be patient and wait. If after 10 minutes the message is still there, go to services.msc and start the services manually. Start/Run/Services.msc and start the 3CX Database server followed by the 3CX Configuration service and the rest of the services. if you still see starting services, restart all the services and the webserver and end the 3cxupdater.exe process from task manager.

    Note: There is no need to worry about updating to this service pack. If something goes wrong, a rollback folder is created and the system will detect the problem and stop the update procedure and roll back to the previous state it was in. then you can generate a support info file and send them to support@3cx.com or nb@3cx.com. We will consider each and every case on this procedure whether clients have support contract or not. We will also give this support the highest priority and get back to you immediately.

    Change Log - 3CX Phone System Service Pack 1 Version 9.13763.24

    New
    -Ability to configure that a desk phone AND mobile number can be rung simultaneously.
    -Backup and restore automatic migration when a backup is restored on a machine which has a different IP address/network topology. Components like 3CX Tunnel, Secure SiP, Fax, Provisioning files and Outgoing default local address parameters are updated automatically
    -Android Provisioning - a new Android device can now be provioned with a new OR an existing extension (i.e. to do SIP forking)
    -Database updater can now seamlessly update all the components in the 3CX Phone System without uninstall/reinstall
    -Ability to Send call to Voicemail of another extension. Voicemail boxes will be seen in the dropdown
    -When option "Automatically log me in/out of queues" is checked in extension settings, a change in profile to away and out of office will update the profile and also log out the extension from the queues. Even if the profile change is made from the 3CX Assistant
    -Template for UKRtelecom - VoIP Provider in the Ukraine

    Fixed
    -Ability to change SMTP port for sending of voicemail
    -Server core Line ID not properly generated in multiple contacts
    -Issues in Call History when call is not answered or destination is busy
    -Manual link in management console
    -Delay in connections using tunnel and one of the bridges is down
    -Cache timeout increase in Abyss webserver configurations to reduce delay in first IVR call
    -Rebound feature showing original caller caller id. (if Voip Provider or gateway supports this)
    -Caller ID from External number to a queue is now showing correctly
    -DTMF problem in Rebound not playing call screening or disconnecting when pressing # or invalid dtmf presses
    -IP addresses starting with 169 are now showing however they will show at the end of the list because they might be AIPPA -addresses
    -Issues in recording
    -Issue in special reports with answer time
    -Issue when updating destinations of forwarding rules in all profiles
    -BLF bug in blind transfer
    -Unterminated call after transfers in some scenarios
    -Issue in service starter taking long to start the services. (Fix will be applied on the next update)
    -Several issues related to Call Reporter, call history updating and query functions in the database.
    -Generation of reports when reports have over 500,000 calls. Reports with over 5000 pages will be slower but will also work
    -Active directory import users function when Caller ID is blank and other issues related to winforms
    -Database caching size to optimize speed of queries

    Known issues
    -Call reporter might show time durations with a negative sign. This is a known issue caused by a bug in Version 8 and has been fixed in version 9. Unfortunately for the backups taken from version 8 we cannot fix this completely on restore because the data is already affected.
    -Call Reporter might remain for some time showing a message "Accessing Data" or "not responding". This is because there are a lot of records and the database is busy with queries. If you query a report with a lot of records (over 5000 pages) it is advisable to take a backup of these records by generating a report in csv or pdf format and delete the old records to clean up the database. The reports that are affected by this behaviour are "Call Logs Report" and "Call Statistics". Eventually the report will be generated however.

    Hi,
    I'm trying to update 3cx system, but I reiceve only the message in attachment. I'm trying to search the file 3cxUpdater.log in my pbx server without success.
    What can I do?

    You can’t find it, because it is not created.
    During the update all free disc space is used by the updater and because there is not free disc space anymore the updater crashed.
    I’ve got exactly the same problem and it finishes in a complete reinstall of the 3CX Phone System.
    Be aware the updater, it is buggy.

    I still cant make simultaneous ringing work if the Extension is in a queue:

    Hasnt anyone tried this, or can somebody from 3CX tell if it isnt supposed to work in a queue?

    I'm not exactly sure at what point the bug here is.

    a. Is it a bug that it disconnects the call when you answer from a mobile?
    b. Is it a bug that it rings both mobile and extension when directed from a queue?

    You assume it should work because you haven't been told it shouldn't where I assumed it wouldn't work because we haven't been told it should. So either queue calls should not support this simultaneous ringing or it should function seamlessly regardless.

    I installed V9 this morning (upgrade from V8). It still doesn't offer SP1 download. Is it some way to force update checking ?

    no, i did ti about 10 days ago. it says it is "3CX Phone System v9.0.13373.540"
