I have 2 server setups, one running 3cx v3 which is the original server (server 1) and Server 2 is running 3cx v5 (I backed up server 1 and restored it to server2 - so config is or was the same).

Server 1 used purely voip provider, whereas Server 2 runs a Patton 4114 happily, with overflow onto voip provider.

If I set the reg or ob proxy to server 1, both the gigasets and the snoms work fine. If I set it to server2, just the gigagsets work (no audio on the snoms). Irrelevant of whether the server is routing the call through voip provider call minutes or via the patton. However, the snoms work fine when they're internal with the server - its only the snoms that are out in the field - all natted and not possible to change that.

The server itself (both) is on an external ip.

I'm thinking it's something to do with the STUN, but why then would it work on server 1 if it was that? If the server 2 was set up incorrectly, then the gigasets wouldnt work. It doesnt seem to have any effect if I switch the Stun on or off.

I notice that the option to switch a user from being external to internal has disappeared form v3 to v5 - or am I being clueless?
