I have created a SIP trunk between the 3CX system version 12 and Cisco Call Manager version 8.0.

After some playing around I managed to get calls working both ways across the trunk, although when calling from the Cisco to the 3CX system, the CLI displayed on the 3CX phone is the Inbound rule name instead of the Cisco SIP extension or ID.

I name the inbound rule name "IRN" for this test and 3CX seems to place it in the SIP messages. Is there any way to override this setup to the Cisco extension numbers are presented to the 3CX users?

I'm wondering if the number is being passed.

When 3CX has been enabled to display a Ring group, or Queue name, the number will also be there unless the name or the RG or queue is so long that it "pushes" the number off the display (not enough room for both).

When using PSTN gateways, I have seen the gateway name show if there was no Caller ID sent was received, otherwise it does not show up.

Hi Pauliebrisbane, i am newbie with 3Cx.

I have a sip trunk between a Cisco Call Manager and the 3cx system. I have configured the trunk in 3CX as voip gateway with an E1 port with virtual extension 15000 (register not required). I have defined extension in 3cx (149XX). Calls are ok from any extension in 3cx to any extension in call manager but from call manager only can call to trunk extension 15000.

Please, would you send me your trunk configuration?

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,
    Roberto.
