SKYPE Gateway registration failed error

    Im trying to implement and test the new Skype Gateway utility in latest version of 3CX system v7.1.... I have done all requirements and prerequesites.
    i got a "registration failed" error in last part (you will see this in DOS command activity of skype connection), when i am to contact the skype account then the skype caller from outside got "busy" status

    Any idea what is this error? and what i need to change in configuration for successful call connection of skype calls using SKYPE Gateway utility in 3CX system?

    Hi

    1) You have to follow the guide exactly to the letter - if you follow that, it will work out of the box immediately
    2) Make sure that the Authentication password in the 3CX for Skype Gateay line in the 3CX Management console is BLANK.
    3) You have to get a registration Success first. Useless trying Calls before you see Registration SUCCESS OK.
    4) Make sure that the first time Skype starts you click on the ALLOW JAVA popup. This is something that will halt a successful registration as well.

    Let me know if you have any problems. But the Guide explains it all in detail. It is a bit long yes but you will only do this once - then it will work.

    Hi Nicky
    the 3cx skype gateway is successfully registered. 200 OK.
    3cx server: v7.1 rc2
    client: 3cx voip phone or xlite
    the 3cx skype gateway, java, and skype are on the same machine, but not on the 3cx server (on VMware). Microphone headset.

    when trying to use 3cx voip phone/xlite to make outbound calls via the skype gateway, the call can't connect to the terminal. here is the log.

    Do you have any idea? 192.168.1.133 is the IP of 3cx server. Thank you.

    Hi Nicky, Thanks a lot i made may system work by doing the number 2 item in your advises.

    2) Make sure that the Authentication password in the 3CX for Skype Gateay line in the 3CX Management console is BLANK.

    Still have a couple of questions regarding SKYPE 3CX Gateway in my configuration and setting which is not working. I will post a new forum for these, hope you can help me again.

    You can post here no problem - As you wish - Good you have this working. Even for the other users following skype posts - Follow that guide to the letter and it WILL work 100%. It was tested with up to 5 separate channels and 5 simultaneous calls. Of course it can do more. This gateway is important - because we dont know yet when skype will open to SIP. In the meantime it will be great to use this. Also it seems that skype will open to sip but will integrate SIP TO PSTN or skype out only. So there are chances that other SKYPE ID's would not be able to be dialed. This is because from a hardphone it is not that straight forward to dial Skype ID names. Numbers are easier. (Also more expensive :) ) So for now this and the voip phone will be killer....
