    Hello,
    I just bought a Smartnode 4114, I'm using it with 3CX version 3.1.2434. The configuration it's done exactly as the 3CX page describes at: http://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/patton-smartnode.html.

    The problems are:
    - I can't make any outbound call, but the inbound works perfectly.
    - The caller ID doesn't work (which it's not important).

    The 3cx Log is:
    19:54:58.515 CallConf::Rejected [CM103005] Call(25) is rejected: Server Time-out
    19:54:58.515 StratInOut::eek:nCancel [CM104008] Call(25): Call from Ext.105 to 7861234567 terminated; cause: 504 Server Time-out; from IP:192.168.1.245
    19:54:15.296 CallConf::eek:nProvisional [CM103003] Call(25): Ln:10000@SN-4114 is ringing
    19:54:15.015 CallConf::eek:nIncoming [CM103002] Call(25): Incoming call from 105 (Ext.105) to sip:97861234567@192.168.1.250

    Is there any help anyone can give me?? .

    Thank you.

    Which IP is the 3CX Server?
    I don't quite understand why time out is from a different IP.

    The 3CX Server is 192.168.1.250.

    For what I see the time-out is coming from the gateway (192.168.1.245). I'm trying right now @ home with the same gateway & the same phone (Grandstream GXP2000) with my PC and the results are the same.

    What I didn't say was that when I make a call I can hear ringing the GXP, but the call never take place even thought the 3CX recognize the call (as you can see in the log) and seems that the patton also seems to recognize it because the line 1 light turns on.

    I updated the firmware with newers version and even with the same version that I could see at the 3CX support config.

    Just in case this is my patton configuration:

    Change the port inside 3cx to reflect this

    "call-signaling-port 5062 " line inside the config. In other words change the port inside 3cx Management console under the config of the gateway from 5060 to 5062...

    Regards

    Hi, I made the changes in Edit VoIP Gateway and generated a config file, tested before import the file and the importing it. But still the same problem.
    I'm waiting for some answer from patton's support.

    Something strange i just noticed is that looking the line status in the 3CX Console, the yellow light when a call is placed is moving from line to line and doesn't stay in just one place. I don't know if this has something to do with this but just letting the 3cx people know.

    Thank You anyway.

    Greetings - I have a comment regarding caller ID:

    For the caller ID to work with the SmartNode, you have to add the following command in all "interface fxo" sections:

    Code:
    ring-number on-caller-id

    My FXO IF config looks like follows, it also contains some tweaking regarding US style loop break that you might want to adopt:

    Code:
      interface fxo fxoif0
        route call dest-interface sipif0
        disconnect-signal loop-break
        disconnect-signal busy-tone
        loop-break-duration min 200 max 1000
        ring-number on-caller-id
        mute-dialing
        dial-after timeout 2

    Did you try generating the SN4114 config with the 3CX built-in config generator? When you "add line", it gives you the option at the end of the questionnaire to export a Patton config. This is the best way IMHO to configure the unit, as the template used it is always up to date

    Good luck!
    -Marco

    Does that not show that your outbound rule is dropping the first 0?
    im guessing your mobile is 07861234567
    Did you let 3cx create the outbound rule for you in the wizrd, by default it would remove the first digit with the 'r' statement.

    This would be good to try, but I really don't know how to add this code... is there any manual to help me, or could you tell me??

    Yes, I did it with the config generator.

    I'm still working with Patton, running some debugs, I'll keep you guys posted...

    Thank You Marco.

    Hi Neil, my first digit is 9 it is shown here:
    19:54:15.015 CallConf::eek:nIncoming [CM103002] Call(25): Incoming call from 105 (Ext.105) to sip:97861234567@192.168.1.250.
    But this part seems to be working good, any way I have already tryed to change and remove the outbound rules, and it didn't work.

    Thank you so much Marco.
    Tonight after 1 week of emails and phone support with patton, sending debugs, exporting configurations and doing so many things, I sat with some more patience, and re-reading this post and noticing that there is another person with the same problem (or alike) I made the changes to the config file that Marco wrote, and only with these changes the system is working perfectly.:D

    Note for those who don't know how to do it, This is the way I did it with GUI:
    - Go to import/export in the SN
    - Click on Export Configuration and save this file as a "Config File.txt" (or any other name you like).
    - Open the file and Replace all the "interface sip sipif0" with the one marcoluce gave us which is:

    interface fxo fxoif0
    use profile tone-set default
    route call dest-interface sipif0
    disconnect-signal loop-break
    disconnect-signal busy-tone
    loop-break-duration min 200 max 1000
    ring-number on-caller-id
    mute-dialing
    dial-after timeout 2

    - Replace the fxoif0 with fxoif1, fxoif2 and so on.
    - Replace sipif0 with sipif1, sipif2, ...
    - Save and import the file.

    Well this is what I did and works beautiful, If there is some mistake please correct me 'cause I'm not an expert.

    Now, the only thing that is bothering me is that I can hear some noise when calling, just like static. Does anyone know what could it be???
    :lol:

    Thank you.
    :D :D

    Hi there,

    I had a similar problem as described in this thread, and I've followed Marco's instruction and now it (almost) works... I can make outbound calls but I get disconnected after 30 or so seconds (this is also the case on inbound calls). In the 3CX software it says "extension 101 hung up call; cause:unknown".

    I'm using a Siemens Gigaset C460IP, any help would be greatly appreciated.
