I have installed 3CXPhone4 on my system and was setting it up and now it never responds.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling

    Hi
Based on such brief description, it's difficult to provide an answer
    http://www.3cx.com/forums/forum-rules-read-to-get-answers-93.html

    - Which phone version do you have?
    - is its connection status Connected?
    - is its online status Available?
    - is its extension status Available?
    - there are many phones on the same extension?
    - making call to the same remote party as the one not answered - it works?
    - Is connected to a 3CX PBX or to a provider or another kind of PBX?
    - Is in-office or out-of-office? Is tunneled or direct? Is using a proxy?
    - is there any indication in the phones' debug window?
    - do you know how to enable phone's SIP trace or to get a Wireshark capture to check the SIP messages?
    and so on...

    Hi Gareth

Gareth, such information is not helpful, a description of the phone status, of which operations has been performed before freeying, may provide a hint. There could be normal reasons. For instance, to avoid "ghost" phones on the PBX (phones which doesn't send authenticated, two-steps unregister requests) 3CXphone waits ~4sec; if connection is tunneled, it additionaly waits ~4sec. During this time, application is not responsive. Also, if tunnel attempts to resolve an invalid address, it waits for system answer, usually ~30 secs, during this time being unresponsive. Obviously, it may be a bug leading to this freezing behavior, but that's exactly why I'm asking for further informations.

However, yesterday we released a patched 3CXphone, fixing three important issues, so I suggest you to try it to see if it performs better than the version you have.

    Regards
    vali
