Solved Start call recording from Managers Phone / Soft console

    Greetings!

    First time posting, please be gentle :)

    Is it possible for another user with the relevant permissions to start recording another users call.

    Lets assume a manager hears a call going on and thinks that the call should be recorded for what ever the reason.

    I have had a look through the docs, but wasnt able to find the answer.

    Hello @Sean Glasspool

    This is currently possible only via the Web clients switchboard and given that the extension has the appropriate rights to do so. You should see the ongoing call on the switchboard and by right clicking on it you should see all the available options

    Im not sure what other rights I can assign to make this work.

    example, I have set up an extn as a Manager and then ticked all the various options under Rights.

    When a user is on a call any options from the web client dissapear.

    Make sure that the extension is a manager to the correct group as different groups have different rights. Assuming that you have an extension as manager for the correct group of extensions then when you navigate to the web clients switchboard and right click on the conversation you should get the following options:
