It would be nice to have the ability to store call recordings/backups on a network mapped drive or to a mapped drive via a symbolic link on both the Standalone and Virtual PBX installations. Microsoft Azure file storage is one example of this. In the Standalone version there is only the ability to store recordings/backups on C:\ or to FTP. In the Virtual PBX installation it isn't even possible to change the recording path from the C:\ at all which makes no sense. There are more users on a Virtual PBX than there is on the standalone install but yet we have no ability to change the recording path. The only option is to store the recordings on the C:\. Can you imagine each instance (up to 25 instances) all storing their call recordings on the C:\? That could become quite costly. As time progresses, there is going to be a need to have everything in the cloud, on-premise installs will become a thing of the past. Microsoft Azure file storage would be a handy solution. You can get terabytes of storage for next to nothing.
