Hello,

The system used to be running reasonable smooth (every now and then they had one side audio internal) but problems seem to get worse every day.

Now customers start complaining and internal calls hardly work.

Everything registers fine and all seems to be ok.

I found two error messages in the serverlog from today, maybe they shed some light on the issue. My customer is getting really impatient now so im hoping for a quick reply.

Thanks in advance,

DaKhalli

There's nothing problematic in your logs, except some strange way of transfer, but you cut it in the way that start of that call is missing, so i can't understand what;s wrong.

Call 36 has been rejected by callee, provider responded with 603. So, that call has been dropped.

Call 56 had some error during transfer, but, again, I can't tell you what exactly was wrong with it. Than, ext. 110 has put caller on-hold, but in old-fashion way (by providing 0.0.0.0 as RTP destination), that is why you got that error message from Media Server. But actually PBX should work correctly in such situation.
And, I can't understand why, but your log entries aren't ordered in timely fashion. It is really something strange. We never got such mess in all our testings.

ah time order is my own cut and paste fault, wanted to have logs of the whole call.

Its strange any advise on what to check next?

Network seems to operate jsut fine (all connections show 100mbit) ping times everything is fine. what on earth am i missing.

Should granstream 2000 phones be bound to media server? it solved the music on hold problem.

I really am desperate, anything i forgot to check?

You really should not be having any issues with the GXP2000s .

I think at this point the most productive thing to do is really try to isolate the problem.

Is the issue croping up with all phones ? or is it when certain phones are involved ?
Is it a problem with all calls or with calls that are transferred ?
Is it a provider + 3CX issue ? Do you have a spare alternate provider account to test with (for a few days)?

Gather as much information about the calls as possible and see which calls are failing, then look for the 'pattern' in failed calls. It's the
every now and then"
which we needs to be investigated.

GXP2000s do not need to be bound to MS, but they work both ways (bound and not).

well its all phones sometimes, but two phones have it a lot, ill try to find out how and what.

Maybe its a cabling issue. Ill try to reboot the phone and see what happens.

Btw the guy with most problems is using a Linksys 2002 device, just like the ones downstrairs and those work ok.

ok been to customer,

first disconnected the cables from the SPA-2002 ATA and measured them. They turned out to be fine.

In the meanwhile i disconnected the power for a hard reset.

When i connected the device again he could make and receive calls, lets hope it was that what was causing the problems.

(when i asked further it turned out only two peeps had big problems..pfft some feedback from customers...)

In 4 hours i know if it worked or not.

Thanks for all the help so far.

The funny things with linksys ATA's are that they run a funny os and have a very small processor, this processor is running approx 90% (that is why they tend to get hot) Somehow (do not ask me why) they need a hard reboot everynow and then. (Just to kick them in the guts).

We reboot our linksys kit once a month :), well that is when we have our regular power outage anyway LOL.

lol yeh well it seems it done the job, the guy has been calling all afthernoon without probs.

Ill keep yall updated
