Strange things happen when internet goes down

    Hi All,

    I have a customer that everytime his Internet goes down then his phones take ages to dial each other internally (upto minutes). This also happens with external calls if they happen at all. It has also been known that phones will start ringing automatically (I have seen this with my own eyes and ears) :)

    Setup is:

    3CX V7 - All updates applied
    Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones

    Patton ISDN gateway

    no external SIP providor used.

    Any help or suggestions would be greatly recieved.

    Hi

    With the information provided, the internet connection issue is effecting STUN resolution and effects other aspects.

    Please disable STUN from the Settings > Network > STUN Server tab, then restart the 3CX PhoneSystem service.
