Hello,
Since a couple of days, my 3CX system fax don't send fax by email.
Question : is there a solution to initiate an email with 3cx console. I want to know if the problem come from the 3cxFax or from my email provider?
Thank's for your answers.
Best regards.

3 CX Phone System - Mini édition version 10

First double check your email settings have not changed (Stranger things have happened)

You can go to the logs in the PBX itself. On newer OS it is in Program Data > 3CX > Data > Logs > 3cxfaxserver.txt

By default 3cx tries to send email for 3 days. So if it is less than 3 days and you fix it then they will send automatically

But to answer your question - no there is no way to see what is in the spool queue or to force a manual send from the console

Thank's a lot for your answer.
It's a pity that 3CX have'nt decide to developp a function for testing the good parameters of the smtp connection!
A new good idea for next version of 3CX.
Here, it is the log I find for my last received fax :

<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<FAX> -<INFO PAGES="1" FAX_ID=" 01xxxxxxxx" CALLER_ID="anonymous" CALLEE_ID="888"> <STARTTIME>20120130144455.99</STARTTIME> <STOPTIME>20120130144550.799</STOPTIME> <IMGFILE>fax4f201dcd_cnt4_na1_t41.tif</IMGFILE> <PDFFILE>C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Fax\Temp\FAX51a706.pdf</PDFFILE> <RCV_ERROR/> </INFO> <FLAGS>10</FLAGS> <PROCDATA USERNAME="Fax Delivery" EMAIL="[email protected]"/> -<NOTIFICATION ATTEMPTS="10"> <ERROR>Failed to connect to SMTP server xxx.xxx.net:5050, response: '', error: Invalid response after user name and password</ERROR> <LASTATTEMPT>20120130153050.849</LASTATTEMPT> </NOTIFICATION> <NOTIFIED>20120130153050.849</NOTIFIED> </FAX>

I change my account name and password, but the message is allways the same.
I contact my Messenger provider, but they say there is no problem with our server!!!
I Continue to look for this error.
Best regards.

I believe there is still a bug in the fax server sending email that has yet to be addressed (I know they are currently changing the email side of things in 3cx so it may get fixed then). You cannot use any port other than 25 for the fax email.

So you are trying on 5050 and it wont connect.

You will have to find a provider that uses port 25.

For information 3CX also has a great feature request system where we all get to put requests in and vote for others. The ones with the highest votes get implemented. It is part of what makes the PBX so great. It is a facebook app so you need a facebook account and then go to https://apps.facebook.com/threecxideas

There is an incredibly easy test, go to extensions, send welcome mail, if it works it quickly sends you the mail, if it fails it will come up with an error box. Couldn't be easier to test your SMTP.

You can use any port you want, this is incorrect. Specify the email address as: fully qualified hostname:pORT. Now, what it looks like to me is that you could be using a server that will not accept a plain text authentication and requires TLS/SSL. That could be a problem! Install Microsoft SMTP service on the PBX machine (If a Server OS) or HMailserver if a Workstation OS and have your own relay that accepts only on IP 127.0.0.1 and you have a secure SMTP relay.
