    Nearly every client of mine has requested the ability to press a transfer to voice mail button then press the person's extension.

    I am able to program it where I do the following: *4xxx, where x is the extension. This works but it consumes a lot of real estate on the BLF keys. This is impossible to do where I have 100s of users.

    Has anyone else ran into this? If so, do you have a solution?

    With yealink phones you would program a PREFIX key (not blf) with the value of *4 ... so to transfer to someone's vmail you would transfer as you usually do, but also press the prefix key before the users blf key. "A la nortel" .. ;)

    Thanks Jason! I tried it in our office and it works. Can this be implemented on custom templates instead of per phone basis in 3CX? If so do what is the "type" ID. Thanks.

    Jason, how do you add the prefix or Type 40 option within the 3CX drop down menu in the BLFt ab in the extension settings?

    I'm not sure you can add it to the template - unless 3cx adds the type first.
    There are several of these in the later part of the 600's of the T4x template:
    Code:
    <speeddial>
          <Line>1</Line>
          <type>%%blfno%%</type>
          <DKtype>13</DKtype>
          <PickupValue></PickupValue>
          <label>%%blffirstname%% %%blflastname%%</label>
        </speeddial>
    The "speeddial" refers to something in 3cx "Speed Dial".
    The option right now is a custom template where you hardcode the *4 Prefix button.

    Craig, I was able to change the custom speed dial type 13 to 40 and it works. The only thing is, we lose the custom speed dial feature. But that OK for this customer.

    Thanks
