Unable to apply v12 demo license

    Dear Support,

    I am evaluating your PBX v12 software for a resort client who requires the use of the hotel module for the PMS interface. However, it not allowing me to register the demo key. Please the attached and advise accordingly.

    Could it possibly be related to this? I'm not sure as I haven't attempted a Version 12 Demo activation for quite some time.

    You have chopped off part of the error message, so I'm not sure if there is anything relevant missing. The server/PC does have an internet connection, correct?

    Actually, v12 has been replaced by 12.5 for the hotel module.

    I just installed another hotel last week, and during the install of which I started with v12, I ran into an issue and contacted support and they advised that the hotel module is now supported in v12.5. The cam out with a modified hotel module as well.

    I just downloaded v12.5 for an install this coming week and used the demo key so I could start to pre-configure the client's system. The demo key worked fine for me. I will backup the system and then restore on his installation whereupon I will use his purchased key.

    I also got a notice yesterday on the matter as I have some older installations running the module with v12 -

    "Due to the recent update of our licensing certificate, any old versions of 3CX Phone System must update to the latest service pack of their version before their next system reactivation. We strongly advise you to do this as soon as possible. Please see below the steps required to do this:

    3CX Phone System 12 with 3CX Hotel Module 12 - Upgrade to v12.5
    1. Take a backup of your 3CX Phone System Version 12.0
    2. Uninstall 3CX Hotel Module
    3. Uninstall 3CX Phone System Version 12.0
    4. Download 3CX Phone System 12.5 from here http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3CXPhoneSystem125.exe
    5. Install 3CX Phone System. Restore your backup.
    6. IMPORTANT - Confirm that the license is activated. To do this go to the 3CX Management console > Settings > Activate License. If it is not activated, please send an email to info@3cx.com and make sure to provide both the 3CX Phone System and 3CX Hotel Module license key numbers.
    7. Download the updated 3CX Hotel Module for Version 12.5 from here http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3CXHotelmodule12.msi
    8. Install 3CX Hotel Module and activate the license key.

    3CX Phone System 12.5 with 3CX Hotel Module 12.5
    1. Upgrade to the latest service pack - if you have a license error refer to this blog post
    2. Go to Control Panel and Uninstall 3CX Hotel Module
    3. Download the updated 3CX Hotel Module for Version 12.5 from here http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3CXHotelmodule12.msi
    4. Install 3CX Hotel Module and activate the license key.
